Green campaigns, seminars and drives conducted by Team GGSE since 2013.
16AprGGSE organized the Clean My City campaign with youngsters in Trivandrum city. The event was organized by coordinating the NGOs in Trivandrum city. More than 100 youngsters joined the event, which was inaugurated by Shri. O. Rajagopal. The event was a message by the youngsters to the city.
16AprGGSE has conducted many green campaigns and seminars on environmental protection, organic farming and the waste management system. Children have been educated towards the green movement and the relevance of planting saplings. House farming was promoted among children, and seeds and saplings were distributed free.
16AprThe unveiling of Go Green Save Earth (GGSE) was done on Earth Day 2013 at the Technopark campus with various campaigns. Reducing the use of junk foods and promoting natural and home-made eatables was a priority. Free distribution of fruits was one of the highlights.
16AprGGSE always aims at promoting green products. As a part of women empowerment, we organized the event by displaying handicrafts made by women, thereby giving exposure to their products. The event got higher employee participation, and plastic bags were collected from employees.
16AprGGSE started its green club in Puthenthope Panchayat with youngsters supporting the group and had more than 30 members. On Earth Hour, we decided to celebrate the event by switching off the lights. The same was communicated to thousands of families in the area.
16AprWith an aim to implement the food security system and to stop artificial inflation on fruits and vegetables, a green campaign was introduced on Environment Day. Vegetable seeds from Horticorp and an information centre from the Agriculture Information Office were set up.
16AprThe campaigns done by GGSE found a good response from the public, and hence we decided to educate from the root level of mankind the need for going green. The campaigns were conducted for children of schools in and around Kazhakuttom — developing the culture of going green.
16AprGGSE's mission is to plant and share plant saplings to one and all in different parts of our city. GGSE shall plant a sapling on behalf of you, and we request you all to apply for the same. A nominal amount of Rs. 100 may be charged.
16AprThe Women Empowerment Programme was done by GGSE, creating space for women entrepreneurs to exhibit their products at every event GGSE conducted. Environmentally friendly cotton bags, jute bags etc. were made by the women entrepreneurs and marketed and displayed at the events.
Schools, colleges and corporates can partner with GGSE for seminars, sapling drives and clean-up campaigns.
